Cry Plays: Amnesia Custom Story: Cannibalism (Part 1 of 2)

May 20th, 2012

Cannibalism is a custom story made for a game I am sure most of you have heard of if you’re on my channel. Originally on my channel I had planned to play custom stories for the game as well, but sadly there are just hardly any of them actually out there. Why?! Either way, I had a lot of fun playing this. It was also nice to meet an old friend again as well! The game in itself is INCREDIBLY dark, so please do not complain about not being able to see anything. I could barely see anything myself, and I even upped the brightness a bit to compensate for YouTube’s darkening of most videos. So it should be just about as bright (or as dark) as it was for me while recording. If you have the game and wish to play this custom story as well, give it a go! www.moddb.com Also, does anyone notice a quality difference at all in this upload? I am experimenting with a new format and filetype to improve quality (which might explain why my channel was bumped a few times the last few days as I was uploading private test videos). If the difference it not noticable, I will go back to the original way of doing things. Thanks for the feedback!

I have helpful suggestions regarding ulnar nerve surgery as I went through this procedure twice and the second time was much easier. Also, for more information, please visit Eco-Focused-mlm.com. See the Middle Class Crush tab. It is a protest about Worker’s Compensation/insurance refusing to cover these problems. I am not pleased how Aflac handled things either. UPDATE: I ended up having complications in both elbows due to scarring. See my other video regarding this problem. Thanks for visiting.

Any California Real Estate agents want to sue lenders for lost commissions on short sales?

Question by Rj: Any California Real Estate agents want to sue lenders for lost commissions on short sales?
I am looking for a class action attorney who is willing to represent the countless agents in California who have worked diligently on “short sale listings” only to have the bank foreclose on the property and give the listing to an REO broker offering them more commission and refusing compensation for time and money spent on Utilities, cleaning and preparing the properties etc… E mail me if you would like more detail on the unfair, unethical, and scandalous business practices of almost all of the major banks. The list is long.

Good luck with the idea, seeing how real agents are fully aware of the pit falls involved with a short sale and as such knowingly enter into a business relationship with expenditures that may not bear fruit the majority of times

Oklahoma Car Accident Lawyers at Atkins & Markoff Warn Public of Dangers of Fatigued Driving After after a Drowsy Driver Allegedly Caused a Car Accident Injuring 8 People

May 18th, 2012

Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) March 14, 2012

The Oklahoma car accident lawyers at the law firm of Atkins & Markoff hereby warns the public of the continuing dangers of falling asleep at the wheel of a vehicle after a recent Ravia car accident that was reportedly caused by a driver falling asleep led to injuries to 8 people, several of whom were injured seriously. The Daily Ardmoreite issued a report on this accident.

According to the article, the Oklahoma car accident at issue occurred on Saturday, March 4 at approximately 8:45 a.m. A 22-year-old female was driving in an eastbound direction on State Highway 1 just west of Ravia when she allegedly fell asleep. As a result, her vehicle drifted across the center line of the road and collided head-on with a vehicle being driven by a 57-year-old woman.

According to the article about this collision, the driver of the Chevrolet suffered multiple injuries, a passenger in that vehicle suffered multiple serious injuries and had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital and four children in the Chevrolet were also injured. In addition, the driver of the Dodge van was also injured and transported to a hospital for treatment as was a passenger in the Dodge.

Falling asleep at the wheel is a problem that the Oklahoma auto accident lawyers at Atkins & Markoff want to warn the public of, as this obviously creates an enormous amount of danger for both that driver and for anyone else in the vicinity at the time. Every year, more than 70,000 Oklahoma car accidents occur overall, leading to more than 36,000 injuries and to approximately 700 fatalities.

1. I work in a 3 attorney law firm that specializes in construction litigation.
2. I have an Associates in Paralegal Studies from an ABA approved program.
3. My Associate’s was from a community college. It took two years.
4. The program was ABA approved when I enrolled, but was no longer ABA approved when I graduated. I made sure my program tailored to the ABA requirements and received the distinction. I believe it is very important to attend a program that is accredited. It means there are standards and with standards, it ensures that you are receiving what you paid for.
5. Absolutely. I 100% feel that the classes I took prepared me for the duties I would be responsible for.
6. I will celebrate my 2nd anniversary as a paralegal on December 1st.
7. My employer trusts me with more than the average paralegal. On my first day, he told me that he would give me as much as I was willing to learn and handle.
8. Yes, I have my own office with a window.
9. I work with very three very eloquent, educated and polite attorneys. The secretary is like a Mother to me. All four of my co-workers treat me as an equal and tell me how valued I am on a daily basis.
10. We are a small firm and all share one secretary.
11. I am very computer literate and use those skills daily. I use all the advanced editing and reviewing tools in Microsoft Word. I would say that I am expert level on Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. I am often consulted by the entire firm when they cannot figure out something. I’ve taken advanced classes in all of Microsoft Office and my boss even had a sign made for my bulletin board that says, “Microsoft Office Guru.”
12. No. We usually mediate or settle before going to trial. Our firm has only participated in one trial in the 1.5 years I have worked for them. If we do go to trial, I would be very confident that I would play a very important role. In the one trial, I was responsible for the trial presentation software, electronic scanning and OCR’ing of trial exhibits.
13. 100% ethical. All three attorneys do everything as they should and have never put me in an ethical dilemma.
14. My employer pays for my PPO insurance. It has low co-pays and an excellent prescription plan. I receive a month of paid vacation per calendar. Two weeks in the winter, two in the summer. I also have life insurance through the firm. Our firm is truly like a family. I am given time off whenever it is requested and I am paid. They do not track time and it is understood that if I abuse the privilege, it will be taken away.
15. I am on salary, so no overtime.
16. I am salary, I don’t expect overtime. They pay me well and reward me well.
17. I work in a small city. The average starting salary would be $ 12-13/hr. I make more than that, but again. This is all dependent on experience and capability. We all make different wages. With bonus, I am currently making around $ 36k a year. I would honestly say I am higher paid than more experienced paralegals in this area. Again, this would be dependent on the size of city you work in. I work in a fairly small city.
18. Yes, I do. I do not have to be babysat. Out of respect, I report to my supervising attorney anyhow. If I need to leave the office, I let him know why and when I will be back. Communication is crucial in a law office. While they do not require me to do it, I do it anyhow.
19. Yes, construction litigation. We specialize in government contracts, joint ventures, teaming agreements, large scale construction disputes (by large scale, I mean millions at stake), and we throw a lot of rocks at the construction related state government departments. This includes equitable adjustment claims to city and state entities for reimbursement for time delays.
20. I am a member of my local and state bar associations. I am currently studying for my Certified Paralegal designation through NALA. My plan is to test for all designations.
21. I love it. There are too many individuals out there that are not fit for this line of work. They were enticed by poor programs with promises of jobs and that their pieces of paper were worth something. I 100% feel that paralegals should be responsible for their actions and conform the profession to a higher standard of professionalism. I run into too many “paralegals’ that should have no business calling themselves such. Higher education standards and professionalism is needed to weed out those that don’t truly respect and/or understand the profession. I feel a license will set a nationwide standard and give true paralegals the credit they deserve. I think that paralegals should be able to be “disbarred” for lack of ethical integrity and incompetence.
22. We take very little pro-bono work.
23. Yes. I am responsible for 20 hours of CLE for the State Bar of Texas, and 6 hours for my local paralegal association. My supervising attorneys also send me to attorney level CLE as they feel I am 10

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to Discuss Nonprofit Reform and Revitalization at Annual Summit

May 17th, 2012

Westchester, NY (PRWEB) April 16, 2012

The United Way of Westchester and Putnam in partnership with the Westchester Community Foundation present the Not-For-Profit Leadership Summit X on Monday, May 7, 2012. This years event, held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel Tarrytown, features keynote speaker New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who will discuss his plan to reform and revitalize the states nonprofit sector.

New York is the proud home of the worlds most dynamic and vibrant nonprofit sector, but for too long, our states regulatory framework has placed unnecessary burdens on these essential organizations. Its time to unlock the full potential of our nonprofit community, and improve the lives of the countless New Yorkers they serve every day, said Attorney General Schneiderman. In these difficult economic times, it is more important than ever to make New York a hospitable environment so nonprofits can continue to carry out their vital work. At the same time, we must maintain the publics trust by ensuring that nonprofits are governed effectively, and with meaningful oversight.

In 2010, nonprofits employed 1.2 million people, or nearly one of every five people in New Yorks private sector (Crains New York February 2012). However, as the demand for nonprofit services increases, government funding has weakened. In February, Schneiderman unveiled legislation that would eliminate outdated and costly burdens on nonprofits, strengthen oversight and accountability, and reaffirm his offices commitment to policing fraud and abuse. Acknowledging that organizations throughout New York face historic financial and strategic challenges, his plan also includes several new partnerships with the business and academic communities to enhance nonprofit governance.

The Leadership Summit kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with the breakfast keynote speaker, Bartley BJ Costello, Esq., partner with Hinman Straub P.C., who is a well-known legal expert and has done considerable advocacy work on both sides of the isle in Albany.

We are delighted to welcome Eric Schneiderman and B.J. Costello. said Naomi Adler, president and chief executive officer of the United Way of Westchester and Putnam. It is a perfect time to dive deeper into the subject of reforming regulations of the nonprofit sector with the Attorney General and to learn from BJ Costello how nonprofits can work together more effectively to lead legislators in the direction of smart policies.

After breakfast, attendees will be able to choose from sixteen breakout sessions on topics such as web technologies, strategic planning, profitable fundraising techniques, work/life balance, skills-based volunteerism, social media in the workplace, executive compensation, IT outsourcing, and board strategies, among others. Schneiderman will address the group during lunch at 11:45 a.m.

Nonprofit agencies face a multitude of challenges, but the biggest hurdle remains: providing Westchester residents the services they need, every day, while federal, state and local governments cut essential funding, said Catherine Marsh, executive director of the Westchester Community Foundation. Everyone in the audience will be eager to hear the Attorney Generals presentation and provide constructive feedback.

The Leadership Summit is underwritten in part by the TD Charitable Foundation. Gold sponsorship is provided by ConEdison and the afternoon reception is sponsored by NonProfit Guard. Other sponsors include BDO, Council Services Plus, Pragmatix, Association of Development Officers, Fordham University Westchester Campus, Long Island University Hudson, Mutual of America, Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York, Helene & Grant Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship at Pace University, POW’R Against Tobacco, US Alliance Federal Credit Union and Westchester Arc. There is a $ 30 non-refundable event fee for a nonprofits initial reservation. Each additional participant from the same organization is $ 20. Walk-in registration is $ 35, space permitting. Sponsorships and vendor tables are also available. The Doubletree Hotel Tarrytown is located at 455 S. Broadway, Tarrytown, NY 10591. For more information or to register, call 914.997.6700 ext. 704 or visit http://www.uwwp.org/summit.shtml.

Serious Injuries in Product Liability Claims Extend to Exercise Machines and Many Other Dangerous Consumer Products

May 15th, 2012

Wareham, Massachusetts (PRWEB) February 11, 2012

A recently announced injury settlement involving a woman paralyzed by a Cybex International Inc. exercise machine illustrates the fact that the risk of personal injury can arise from many dangerous consumer products.

A woman paralyzed by an exercise machine has agreed to a $ 26 million settlement with Massachusetts-based Cybex and the physical therapy clinic where she worked, according to recent reports. At trial, the jury found that the Massachusetts manufacturer of the exercise machine had failed to give notice or warning of that the machine could tip over after receiving notice of other injuries on similar Cybex machines (Case number CA-11-00893 in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department).

Injuries relating to sports and recreational activities as well as the equipment used in these activities have been tracked by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS). The CPSC tracks product-related injuries through its National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS). An estimated 446,788 sports-related head injuries alone were treated at U.S. hospital emergency rooms in 2009, according to a study posted recently by the AANS.

Additionally, more than 180,000 people die from injuries each year one person every 3 minutes, based on data compiled by the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Of these injuries and fatalities, recovery may be possible, particularly where the cause of the injury is due to negligence, tort liability, strict liability, or defective design or manufacture.
